Full-Time National Servicemen (NSF) / PAssion NSF Concession Card

How to Apply

When completing your National Service registration online, you will be given the option to apply for either the NSF Concession Card or the PAssion NSF Concession Card.

Once you have confirmed your card selection, you will not be able to switch to the other card. The selected card will be issued for use throughout your full-time National Service.

The NSF Concession Card or PAssion NSF Concession Card will be processed through your respective unit and issued to you on the day of your enlistment.

Card Activation:
Head down to any SimplyGo Ticket Office with your original NRIC/passport and make a minimum top-up of $5 to activate the card for use on public transport.

Monthly Concession Pass

NSFs can enjoy travel concessions through the use of Monthly Concession Passes (MCPs), which offer one month of unlimited travel on basic bus (trunk and feeder services) and/or train services.

MCPs can be purchased at any SimplyGo Ticketing Service Centre, Ticket Office, SimplyGo Kiosk, Assisted Service Kiosk or via the SimplyGo Portal and SimplyGo app. Prices are as follows:

Note:

• Concession cards have to be activated and valid before the purchase of concession passes.

• Only ONE valid concession pass can be used on an individual concession card at any one time.

• The concession pass can be activated up to seven days in advance of your intended travel start date. The validity period of the concession pass cannot overlap with that of the previously purchased concession pass, and commences from the beginning of bus/train operating hours on the activated concession pass’s start date.

• Unused concession pass or any part thereof is non-refundable.

• Adult fares will be deducted in the absence of a concession pass.

• The concession pass cannot be used on Express and Premium Bus Services like Chinatown Direct Bus Services, Nite Owl bus services, NightRider services and City Direct Services. Card Validity Period

You can continue to purchase monthly concession passes until the end of your full-time National Service.

Upon completing National Service, you can continue to use your NSF Concession Card or PAssion NSF Concession Card for another four months. However, you will not be able to purchase any concession pass and adult fares will apply during this period. You may wish to purchase the $128 Adult Monthly Travel Pass, which offers one month of unlimited basic bus and train rides.

You can check the concession card expiry date at any SimplyGo Ticket Office, SimplyGo Kiosk or Assisted Service Kiosk.

Your NSF Concession Card or PAssion NSF Concession Card can no longer be used once it expires. You will need to purchase an Adult Stored Value Card for daily commuting.

Card Return/Refund

Upon completing National Service, there is a four-month grace period for you to return your NSF Concession Card or PAssion NSF Concession Card and request an immediate refund of any remaining travel value in the card at any SimplyGo Ticket Office (TO). To collect the refund, please also bring along your original NRIC/passport for verification.

Any person collecting the refund on your behalf will have to present his/her own original NRIC/passport in addition to the above-mentioned items.

Once the four-month period is over, your concession card will expire and cannot be refunded immediately. Our Customer Service Officer will issue a receipt for any applicable refund, which can be collected at any TO after five working days.

The refund of the NSF Concession Card or PAssion NSF Concession Card is not allowed while the concession is still valid.
