Important Notice

This section sets out the general terms and conditions ("Terms") for participating in the Unleash the Gates campaign.

To participate in the Unleash the Gates campaign, you must have or register for a TL SimplyGo account and add a contactless bank card via the TL SimplyGo app. NETS contactless bank cards are not eligible for this campaign. You will need to opt in to receive marketing offers from TransitLink in order to receive your unique campaign participation code and Travel Bonus redemption codes.

You will also have to download the WINK+ app and register for a WINK+ account.

By participating in the Unleash the Gates campaign, you agree to be bounded by the Terms & Conditions stated herein. The respective Terms & Conditions for using a TL SimplyGo account and a WINK+ account shall apply accordingly. Please refer to the TransitLink SimplyGo Portal and WINK+ website for the relevant Terms & Conditions. These conditions shall be construed, governed by and enforced under the substantive laws of Singapore.

Mastercard, Land Transport Authority, TransitLink and Stellar Ace reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to suspend or terminate the Unleash the Gates campaign at any time, for any reason, and without liability to any participant. Mastercard, Land Transport Authority, TransitLink and Stellar Ace reserve the right, at any time, to add, delete, suspend or modify all or any part of these conditions at their sole discretion. Decision made by Mastercard, Land Transport Authority, TransitLink and Stellar Ace shall be final and no correspondence shall be entertained in such events.

Definitions

Campaign

refers to the Unleash the Gates campaign organised jointly by the Land Transport Authority of Singapore “Land Transport Authority”, Mastercard Asia/Pacific Pte Ltd “Mastercard”, Stellar Ace “Stellar Ace” (which runs the WINK+ programme) and Transit Link Pte Ltd “TransitLink”.

Participant

refers to any person who participates in the Unleash the Gates campaign by using the received game code via SimplyGo to earn reward points during the campaign period.

TL SimplyGo account

is the account that a person registers via the TL SimplyGo app. Upon successful creation and activation of the TL SimplyGo account, the account user can enjoy the SimplyGo-related services provided by TransitLink, such as viewing travel transactions and charges imposed on his/her travel card(s) – either CEPAS or contactless bank card(s), added to the account.

WINK+

is Stellar Ace's engagement platform to reward users with points for active engagements within the WINK+ ecosystem. Users can earn points (travel on SMRT train network, scan WINK+ QR codes/WINK+ Gates or engage in WINK+ activities) and redeem WINKs that can be used for direct cash discounts at participating merchants' outlets.

Contactless bank card

refers to any Mastercard or other SimplyGo-accepted payment scheme credit, debit or prepaid card (with contactless function) issued by any bank, financial institution or corporation, or cards (with or without contactless function) that are tied to your mobile payment app, which may be used by a person as a means of payment for fares on public buses and trains in Singapore. NETS contactless bank cards are not eligible for this campaign.

Game code

refers to the Unleash the Gates campaign participation code which has to be keyed into the WINK+ app in order to access the list of WINK+ Gates.

WINK+ Gates

are virtual gates where WINK+ reward points can be earned via the WINK+ app. TL SimplyGo account users who add a Mastercard credit, debit or prepaid card (with contactless function) issued by any bank, financial institution or corporation to their account will be able to access both “Silver Gates” and “Golden Gates”. Those who add other contactless bank cards will only be able to access “Silver Gates”. NETS contactless bank cards are not eligible for this campaign.

SimplyGo Travel Rebates

are public transport rebates that Unleash the Gates campaign participants can redeem for with their earned WINK+ points. The rebates will be credited to the contactless bank card used for public transport travel during the campaign period. NETS contactless bank cards are not eligible for this campaign.

Trip

refers to a single trip made by commuters on a single mode of transport. For example, if a commuter took a bus to the nearest MRT Station and subsequently rode the train to downtown area, the commuter is considered to have made two trips.



Receiving and Using the Unleash the Gate Game Code

If you have added a contactless bank card to your TL SimplyGo account and opted in to receive marketing offers from TransitLink, you will receive your unique game code through the TL SimplyGo app inbox. (#Tip: Add a Mastercard credit, debit or prepaid card (with contactless function) issued by any bank, financial institution or corporation first to receive a Mastercard-exclusive game code for more points) 

Alternatively, you can tap on the ‘Rewards’ tab > Unleash the Gates campaign page in the TL SimplyGo app to view your game code. This also applies to those who did not opt in to receive marketing offers.

For existing TL SimplyGo account users, please ensure that you add at least one contactless bank card (add a Mastercard credit, debit or prepaid card (with contactless function) issued by any bank, financial institution or corporation to receive the Mastercard-exclusive game code for more points) to your account.

The game code will not be issued to users who sign up for an account via the TransitLink SimplyGo Portal and existing TL SimplyGo account users who do not have a contactless bank card in their account.

You will need to download the WINK+ app and register for a WINK+ account in order to use the game code. Copy and paste the game code to your WINK+ app to see a list of 400 Silver Gates appearing on the map. If you have a Mastercard-exclusive game code, you will have access to an extra 100 Golden Gates.

 

Earning WINK+ Points

Please allow the WINK+ app to access your location in order to access the WINK+ Gates. Points can only be earned when you are physically within the range of a WINK+ Gate and ‘hit’ it via the WINK+ app.

You can earn 2 WINK+ points each time you hit a Silver Gate and 4 points for a Golden Gate, up to a maximum of 4 points for Silver Gates and 20 points for Golden Gates per day. Each virtual gate can only be hit once a day.

WINK+ points are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Participants will not be able to earn any WINK+ points once all WINK+ points allocated for this campaign have been given out.

 

Earning Travel Bonus Points

The following TL SimplyGo account users will be eligible to earn an additional 800 Travel Bonus points when they pay for a minimum of 60 trips during the campaign period (i.e. 1 December 2021 to 18 January 2022) with a contactless bank card:

  • New users who complete the TL SimplyGo account registration and add a contactless bank card between 24 November 2021 and 18 January 2022; and
  • Existing TL SimplyGo account users who did not have a contactless bank card* in their account before 24 November 2021, but added one afterwards.

If you qualify for the Travel Bonus points, TransitLink will send you a unique redemption code via your TL SimplyGo app inbox on 28 January 2022. Please note that we will not be able to send you the redemption code if you did not opt in to receive marketing offers from us.

To redeem your Travel Bonus points, enter the code in the WINK+ app and 800 points will be automatically credited to your WINK+ account.

Travel Bonus points are limited to ONE redemption per unique TL SimplyGo account user; capped at the first 10,000 eligible users.

 

Redeeming WINK+ Points

From 31 January to 1 March 2022, you can redeem your WINK+ points through WINK+ app as donations to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund or for SimplyGo Travel Rebates.

You can also redeem the points for deals offered by any merchant on the WINK+ app anytime. There is no expiry for WINK+ points.

Collection of Personal Information

All personal information collected by Stellar Ace and/or TransitLink for this campaign is subjected to the Privacy Policy at https://www.transitlink.com.sg/privacypolicy (“Privacy Policy”). Participants agree that by participating in the campaign, their personal details may be stored and otherwise processed by Stellar Ace and TransitLink for the purposes of administering the campaign and Stellar Ace and/or TransitLink may send them information related to the campaign, subject to the Privacy Policy.
