Convenient E-Services For Passengers With TransitLink’s New Website
SINGAPORE (12 March, 2012) – Passengers will now be able to enjoy added convenience with the new e-Services on TransitLink's new corporate website to be launched on 13 March 2012. The website design reflecting a “slice of Singapore's daily public transport scene” features functions that are interactive and intuitive. (See Annex A)
Using feedback gathered from our customers and the media, TransitLink was able to identify key services to revamp with a view to bringing added convenience to our customers through our new website. By incorporating current trends and technological advances in our revamp processes, TransitLink was able to develop the new e-Services.
The new e-Services will enable passengers to have additional options when collecting their transit refunds, allow cardholders to check if their lost concession cards have been found, submit an application for a replacement card online and make it possible for senior citizens to apply for their first-issue Senior Citizen Concession Card directly through the website.
New Refund Options for Customer Claims
With the enhancement of the refund options for transit claims, passengers may now request to have their refund credited to their account in 16 GIRO-participating banks. (See Annex B) This includes DBS/POSB banks which were previously available.
Apart from the enhancement of the 'Credit to Bank Account' option, passengers now also have a new option of having their refund credited directly to their stored value card at any of TransitLink's 42 Ticket Offices and 74 Add Value Machines. (See Annex C)
Lost Concession Card Enquiry
From 13 March, the concession cardholders can go online to check if their lost concession card has been found. This new option allows cardholders to do this check 24/7 and to make a replacement online if necessary.
Replacement of Lost Concession Card
If a concession cardholder's lost card has not been found, they now have the option of applying for a replacement card online, from the convenience of their home. The application will be processed and the replacement card will be mailed to the cardholder within 5 working days. This is an additional avenue for cardholders to apply for their concession card. The current avenues are for either mailing in an application form or a visit to TransitLink's Concession Card Replacement Office.
Senior Citizen Concession Card Application
Senior citizens have more reasons to celebrate as they now have the choice of applying for their first issue Senior Citizen Concession Card online. This service will enable senior citizens to save a trip to the mailbox or Ticket Office to submit a completed application form.
Going forward, TransitLink will continue to add value to the customer's public transport experience by streamlining our processes and to look for other customer-friendly services to implement. We also welcome more customer feedback on our services and invite the public to provide their suggestions through our facebook site https://www.facebook.com/TransitLinkSG.
