TransitLink Suspends Operations of 38 Ticket Offices
Singapore, 07 April 2020 - In line with the Government’s announcement of the closure of workplace premises with effect from 7 April 2020, and full home-based learning in schools and Institutes of Higher Learning with effect from 8 April 2020 in response to the COVID-19 situation, Transit Link Pte Ltd (TransitLink) will automatically refund the unused value of the Monthly Concession Passes (MCP) of all concession cardholders that were purchased before 4 April 2020.
Pro-Rated Refund of Monthly Concession Pass
2 The refunded amount for all concession groups will be pro-rated based on the period from 7 April to 4 May, and for students shifting to home-based learning, from 8 April to 4 May, or up to the pass expiry date, whichever is earlier. Concession cardholders who wish to purchase a new pass can visit TransitLink’s Ticket Office to use the refunded amount to offset the cost of a pass. Otherwise, they can also redeem the refunded amount as a transport e-Voucher that can be used to top up their travel cards at any TransitLink’s Add Value Machine (AVM) and TransitLink Kiosk (TL Kiosk). The refunds can be made from 5 May 2020.
Suspension of TransitLink’s Ticket Office Operations
3 In light of the added social distancing measures, commuters are encouraged to use TransitLink’s digital services such as the AVMs, TL Kiosks, e-Services on TransitLink website and TL SimplyGo app. During this period, TransitLink will suspend the operation of 38 Ticket Offices from 8 April till 4 May 2020. Commuters who need assistance with concession related matters can still visit our nine Concession Card Replacement Offices (CCROs). The CCROs are open daily from 10.00am to 6.00pm, and close on Public Holidays.
