Students Accepted Into Junior College And Centralised Institute This Year Must Extend Their CEPAS-Compliant School Smartcards To Continue Enjoying Travel Concession

SINGAPORE (08 February 2010) – Students accepted into Junior College and Centralised Institute this year must extend the validity of their concession cards (CEPAS-Compliant School Smartcards) by 28 February 2010, to continue enjoying concessionary bus and train fares.

 

Currently, over 3,000 students who have been accepted into Junior College and Centralised Institute have not extended their concession privileges. Students who have not extended the concession validity of their CEPAS-compliant School Smartcards may do so at any Add Value Machine, General Ticketing Machine, TransitLink Ticket Office, Concession Card Replacement Office and Passenger Service Centre located in the MRT stations and bus interchanges from now till 28 February 2010.

Students with School Smartcards linked to GIRO or Auto Credit Card facility must also proceed to the sales machines or present their cards at service counters to extend the concession validity.

Those who fail to extend their School Smartcards after 28 February 2010 are not entitled to refunds for bus and train rides paid at non-concession rates.
